{ Bailey is 6 }

Posted by Picasa

Can you believe this is the only picture I took on Bailey's birthday!?!?! Oh my... I need to work on my picture taking! Anyhow, another year has come and gone for this sweet girl. I am still trying to wrap my head around 6 years old. Where did that time go? She is turning into a little lady right before my eyes. We are sure lucky to have her as apart of our family. She is a sweet blessing!

{ Fall 2011 }

Fall is such a fun time of year. I love the colors, smells, weather. It is all awesome! With fall we get a trip to the pumpkin patch, and Halloween. This year we had a "Royal" Queen, Cowgirl, and a Black Cat. May I just say they were the cutest!!

{ 1st Day of Kindergarten }

Everyone told me sending my first born to Kindergarten would be hard. I thought.... can't be that hard. I will be just fine. I think I did hold myself together really well. I didn't cry, but only got a little teary eyed. But man, they were right!! It was so hard to just leave her there, and walk away. I think I left a little piece of my heart at school with her. It is that first step of letting go, and it is a hard thing to do!

We struggled with whether or not to send Bailey to kinder this year. She is behind in most things compared to her classmates. I think that is something I am struggling with more than she is. She still gets all her therapies,and will continue to throughout Kindergarten. I just didn't want her to realize that she was behind. So, we debated. Do we send her and hope she makes progress, or hold her out another year?? These are hard choices when it comes to your kids. Ultimately, we decided to send her. She needs the push to do better, and we are just crossing our fingers we made the right choice.

I was so proud of her today. She gave me a kiss, walked right in, found her cubby and dropped off her things, found her chair and sat right down without even a second glance my way.

She is so special to me! Through her trials I think we have both become stronger, and I am hoping Kindergarten will be good for the both of us!

{ Gracie's attack of the Scissors}

Honestly, I knew this day would come. I really am surprised it took this long for one of my girls to get a hold of the scissors, and really do a number on their hair. So, was I mad.... only kinda! Gracie got a hold of the scissors one day, and went to town. Not only did she cut her hair, but she cut her pants and my bed sheets before Bailey could race down the hallway to let me know what was going on. Ehhh.... Her hair sure turned out cute once we fixed her self inflicted "mullet". I know if could have been much worse!

{ Rice Cereal, Anyone? }

We started Abigail on some rice cereal. I think she likes it, although she gets more on her all over her than in her mouth. Practice makes perfect, right? She will master it soon enough!

{ Tooth }

This girly has one, little, pearly white in that cute mouth of hers. Right on the bottom, and it is so stinkin' cute! Man, were we all glad that finally broke through! With my other girls, I never really knew they were tetthing. A tooth would just be there. They didn't really fuss or cry about it. Abby on the other hand is a whole different story. She let the world know she was teething, and that she wasn't happy about it! For 2 weeks she was clingy, crabby, wouldn't sleep, had to be held, the whole bit. Now that the tooth is here, she is back to her normal happy self! Phew... However, I know another one is right around the corner. Guess I better enjoy her before we start round two:)

{ Waiting }

This picture cracks me up.....

I'm thinking they had enough of me. They wanted their dad. They waited, and waited, and waited. Don't worry... he came! All was right in their world again!

{ Chelsea's Wedding Weekend }

We were lucky enough to get out of the heat and head up north for my youngest sisters wedding last weekend. We had so much fun, and as usual it was so hard to come home! I didn't get many pictures from the wedding. I was way to busy chasing kids, and having fun that I completely forgot. But, I did manage to get a few from our visit. There was a wedding, rhino rides, horses, cousins. What more could we ask for!! We had such a great time. My girls are meant to live in the mountains. To say they love it is an understatement. Someday... someday!!

{ Our first pick }

We have a small garden this year. We decided it would be a fun family thing, and even better to grow our own food. While we are all reaping the benefits of said garden, Gracie has really taken to it. She loves it! She is always checking on it, makes sure it gets watered, etc. So imagine her excitement when the first tomato was ready. It was like Christmas! She was so excited, and is very anxiously waiting the next time she gets to pick from the garden!

{Bridal Shower}

My youngest sister, Chelsea, is getting married! June 4th to be exact, so I threw her a Bridal Shower to help celebrate. It turned out super cute, and I think we all had fun.

I am still having a hard time believing that she is really old enough to be getting married. Wow! That means I really am getting old. I am so happy for her though, and we love her Fiance'. They are going to do great. Can't wait for the wedding!!

{ Moving On }

This little lady has been at the same preschool (Dysart Early Childhood Education) for 3 years now. Her last day was May 17th. She will now be moving on to Kindergarten! I cannot even believe it. I cannot even begin to say how proud I am of her. She amazes me everyday. When she started the preschool she didn't say but maybe 10 simple words, but through her hard work and the hard work of all the great therapists at the school you probably would never even know she was a late talker.

She still has her struggles, and after lots of testing for kindergarten she will still receive speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational. But, after a lot of thought and prayer we know she will thrive just fine in kindergarten.

I am so thankful, and will forever remember all that the dysart preschool teachers and therapists have done for us. Bailey inspires me everyday. No matter her stuggles, she works so hard. She is my sweet, sweet girl. I am pretty lucky to have been blessed with her.

So here is to "moving on" to the big ole kindergarten!!

{ Dance Recital 2011 }

Both Bailey and Gracie were able to take dance class this year from Mrs. Tiffany! I thought for sure Bailey was going to love it, and would be so excited. She proved me wrong... she was not a huge fan. However, she completely surprised me at the recital. She kept up pretty well, and I thought she did a great job. I was so proud of her! When it was over I asked her if she was going to take dance again in a few months, she said, "she would think about it". So, we will see!

As for Gracie, she seems to be little miss performer. She loved having attention on her (surprise, surprise), and was so cute! She loved dance, and is already asking me when she can go back again. It is fun to see what each of the girls little "nich" is.

{ Abigail: 2 Months }

I am finding it hard to believe this little baby is already 2 months old. Where does the time go? I am having a very hard time with each of her milestones. For whatever reason (probably because she is more than likely my last baby), I am so emotional over every milestone she reaches. I am trying to soak up everything about her, so I can just remember. I find myself just sitting, and holding her even when I have a million other things to do.
I wish I could freeze time, and keep her little forever!

{Abigails Blessing Day}

We blessed this sweet baby on May 1, 2011. What a great day! Aaron did a great job. I feel incredibly blessed to have a husband that holds the presthood, and can bless our babies. So thankful for all the family and friends that came and supported us that day.

{ Abigail Cate Umphress }

We welcomed our sweet Abigail into the world on March 10, 2011. I was induced that morning at 4:00AM, my water was broke for me at 7:30am, and I had her in my arms at 1:53pm. She weighed in at 7lb 13oz, and 19.5" long. Could not have been more perfect!! She is a sweet, sweet baby. She is definitely getting tons of love from her two older sisters. Amazing how she has fit into our family so well, and has truly made us that much more complete. She is a true blessing from my Heavenly Father!
