Memorial Day Weekend '08

We spent this Memorial Day in Show Low this year. The girls and I went up on Wednesday to be there on Thursday for Chelsea's graduation. I CANNOT believe that she graduated. To me she seems way to little... but she will be going off to college in a few months. CRAZY! Aaron was able to come up on Saturday afternoon and we stayed through Monday. We had a lot of fun just spending time with family and relaxing in the COLD weather. We went up with nothing but summer clothes, and it snowed and rained all weekend. The weather was so crazy. You would have never known it was the middle of May. The only pictures I took were of Bailey and her cousins (Brooklyn and Brynlyn) playing in Grandma and Grandpa's yard. Better than nothing I guess! Hope you all had a great weekend as well.

Week In Pictures

Bailey showing her "owie". She smacked her lip on the cart at Target... Rough Day!
Cute Gracie...3 months already.
Bailey enjoying some ice cream from the fantastic "Ritters".I LOVE this baby doll!
"CHEESE"
Bailey insists on this crooked smile because she thinks it is so funny. It isn't really crooked...but she gets a kick out of it!I could kiss on this baby all day long.

Not much exciting has been going on in the Umphress household. Just trying to keep up with the day to day. We are super busy it seems, but with nothing that fun. Aaron is enjoying his new adventure, and I am just trying to stay up with my girls and work. I am looking forward to going to Show Low on wednesday for my sisters graduation. It will be a nice break. We wish Aaron could come, but of course he will have to stay behind and work. We will miss him while we are away. That is all from here. until next time...

P.S. My younger sister Cortney had her baby girl on Friday morning. Miss Addisyn Lynn is a little dolly. We cannot wait to meet her in person. Congratulations Cort and Heath. We love you and miss you!

Men In Black

While Aaron is going to hate that I put him on the blog (he hates to be on here), I really wanted to make a post about his current endeavors. Last week he started his new position on the Gang Unit. He is doing a 90 day detail with them, and at the end of it will either stay on or go back to patrol depending on what the head honchos think of him. While this an EXTREMELY nerve racking thing for me, he is loving it. I am so proud of him for moving forward and making a mark for himself. He really is good at what he does and that makes me so happy. So, if you ever see those crazy guys in black on the streets... be kind to them. For my sake:)

Splish, Splash

Bailey started swim lessons last week and I don't think she could love it more. She is such a water baby, and has no fear of the water at all. The first lesson was rough because she did not want to sit and wait her turn to get in the water. She would jump in and her teacher had to dive in after her. I was a little concerned about how the lessons were going to go if she kept it up. However, I am proud to report that she now sits and waits her turn wonderfully. She is getting pretty good at kicking her little legs and using her arms. She is my little fish!
On her way to 1st lesson.
She would not let me get a good picture.
Wondering why I always have to take a picture?
